got a belt noise in the engine bay

'89 2.5L turbo diesel Hi there I have heard there is a known weakness regarding a part in the 1989 Mitsubishi diesel Pajero that the fan belt is attached to? Its a Japanese import from 1989. I have just bought it and it runs really well but the alternator belt or something squeaks
