Have 1999 intrepid/speedometer not working and will not shift gears. Code reader reads p1698/no information from tcm.Would resetting the computer fix this and how do I reset the computer in a 1999 Chrysler intrepid

Check engine light came on/ speedometer quit/only moves forward in 1st gear/also no high beam headlights

You should scan the car first,, but its sounds like the VSS vehicle sped sensor has gone bad.
