You know we can't see it over a computer. If something broke the wheel will be able to flop around or turn by itself. If you can't move it by hand and it stays in that position when driving slowly, suspect a bent strut first, then possibly a bent lower control arm.
Normally the wheel will tilt out on top when the bottom hits something. If you have steel wheels, that could be all that is bent. You'll definitely feel the wobble in the steering wheel. If nothing else is bent or broken, or when those parts are replaced, the car should not pull to one side and the steering wheel should be straight when driving on a straight road. If either of those are not true, an alignment is needed to insure proper tire wear takes place.
Unless you're experienced, replacing a strut can be fairly dangerous and is best left to the professional with the proper tools. You can replace a lower control arm but if it comes to that, I'll share a few little-known details to do it right.
