I was woundering where the air dryer is located on a 2002 hyundai elantra

replaced A/C compressor but before recharging the system I wanted to replace the air dryer and the repair book I have shows something totally different than my car is

it's called a receiver/drier or accumaltor i have ageneric pic enclosed, yours may be a filter and it may be inline so it's best ifyou get one you'll see what it looks like.
