New A/C compressor makes a loud high pitched screeching noise

Unfortunately new parts are not always good parts. As long as this is not the belt and it is coming from the compressor, you are most likely going to have to replace it again. It doesn't happen often but it happens often enough when I replace a part and it is making noise or not working that it is just a faulty part. If it were me, I would contact the part supplier or the person who installed the part and inform them that this is happening and they will have to change it out for you.

I installed the part. Along with a new serpentine belt and tensioner pulley and assembly.. I am just afraid because I am a girl my warranty won't be good because they will say I installed it wrong. But I am confident I did it correctly cause it only took me 19 hours, lol.. It was a pain to get to without being able to jack up the engine..

Haha. I have heard a lot of reasons things are not covered under warranty but being a girl is a new one on me. Not only do I highly doubt they would say that, if they did, I would lose my mind. Just because you are a girl does not mean you don't know what you were doing.

I think you would be just fine and if they say that, ask for the manager immediately because that is just insulting.

I just meant the warranty does not cover if you install it wrong. And I am no mechanic. I watched 100 YouTube videos on how to do the work because I couldn't afford a mechanic. And I got sick of all my male friends saying they would help and then blowing me off. I could have messed something up. But I'm too detail oriented and a direction follower. If they don't replace it cause I'm a chick I would definitely raise enough stink to get a new compressor and probably a free professional install.. Lol.

If you take this back to the parts store and tell them what it was doing, I am sure they will just exchange it out with no questions. Maybe call before hand and tell them what is happening because they may have to order it. Even if you left the freon and oil out of it, I doubt it would make this much noise at the start. They come with some oil in them so it would take a while to make noise. If it made noise out of the box then they will warranty it.
