My muffler seems to bounce as i drive. Yes i am a chick who knows nothing, - am hoping someone can help me out before getting screwed over by the mechanics.

Could this be just a clamp of some sort?? Any advice would be appreciated! :)

There is a strap that wraps around the muffler and has a post or a flat arm that slides into a rubber hanger/mount. You can get htem from the dealer or aftermarket. If you get it aftermarket, there will be a listing for a strap that will work with their brand of mufflers but will not fit the oem such as yours. You need to talk to an experienced counterman. Tell him your system is original and you need a strap that will fit the oem muffler. Secondly the strap will come with a bolt that is too short. You'll need one that is about 4" long.

Or take it to an independent repair shop and let them do it.
