Hi
Originally had a b2292 code with a lfc of 5-3 pointing to the driver side seat belt retraction mechanism. Had that repaired by an online service company. Installed it and now get a b2296 along with the b2292 code.

Lfc is now 4-12 for a series of 3 times then the airbag light glows steady.

Service company is ghosting me. Advice needed -thanks in advance.

CORRECTION: ORIGINAL CODE WAS 6-3 NOT 5-3.
I was unable to edit the original post.

I don' think they repaired the correct items, these codes are for the passengers side impact sensor and air bag, did you have any work done or is the side of the car damaged?

B2292 - Restraint System: Side Air Bag Circuit Open
B2296 - Side Restraint Sensor Fault

It is like these are unplugged?

No accident damage. No work done on either side of the car.
If the the sensor is bad, will that throw a b2292 code in addition to the b2296?

These are two different codes effecting two different items, both on the same side. Is there a chance water got into the car on the passengers side? I would disassemble the passengers side pillar cover to inspect both the side airbag and the impact sensor. Make sure to disconnect the battery before you begin.

Thanks for your reply. No water has gotten in to that area. Everything looks dry. And rust free. So if I understood correctly, these codes, along with the light flash code all point to the passenger side?

Yes, the the problems are on the passenger side. For both of these to go out at once you could have a bad safety restraint control module or corrosion at the module connector, with the battery disconnected remove the connectors for inspection, here is the location of the module.
