1989 BMW 325ix strong vibration at 50mph issue

Driveline Flex Disc Guibo located between the drive shaft and Transmission. Made of Hard rubber and bolts on. Looks good at this time (bolts are tight).

The Vibration starts with a light thumping up to 40 mph then the car starts really shaking at 50mph then at 60 the noise and the vibration subside a little. Note: I can see out of my rearview clearly again (less vibration).

Well just because the bolts are tight doesn't mean it's ok, any sagging? And if the tires are in balance, check the driveshaft for missing wieghts!

inspect the center support bearing of the driveshaft
and report back as soon as possible

Thanks guys, I did find that the left tire is severely cracked and the right tire is worn on the outside. I'll pick up Two tires for it this weekend. Then I'll look at the driveshaft.

Questions: center bearing is located inside the back of the Tranny?

Can the CV joint cause this type of vibration since this is a AWD? I hear them clicking when I u-turn.

Worth a look, usually it would be the inners, but since you hear clicking that would be the outers! Depends on if the cage is shattered in the joint!
