Hello. I have a BMW X5 that is having electrical problem. start the car the speedomoter may not work. park it and re start, the speedometre will start working. the rearsuspension will go completely down, park the car and restart it will come up so is the transmission indicator. attempts were made using computer to clear the problem but it keep on re occuring. the horn will as well stop honking and resume when it fit deem. please help.

The instrument cluster is the gateway for communication and it may have an internal fault. What scanning method did you employ?

Thank You Dr. Hargerty For getting back at me. it was an OBD scanner and general checking was performed by connecting from inside the bunnet. I am new to the computer checkings but I was told the faults were wiped out. but the electrical misbehaving is still going on. now the safe level suspension light is on and the vehicle is literally sitting on the back wheels with hissing noise from behind the tires.

An air spring may have a hole in it, pinpoint the hissing and let me know what you find.
