bubbling the water out of the reservoir tank

i was coming home the other night and noticed that it had started overheating. i pulled over raised the hood and the water/antifreeze was bubbling out of the reservoir waited for it to cool off the drove it a little further. did this a few times before parking it for the night. came back the next morning and drove it about twenty miles and temperature gauge never got over half way. By the time i got home i heard it was bubbling a little in the reservoir again.

Make sure the cooling fan if electric is running when the engine gets hot, and if so try a new thermostat, it sounds like it may be sticking closed.

it has a clutch fan on it. now it is running and i watched a video where if you can stop it with a newspaper it is bad i can stop it, but it has force on it and starts to spin when i let go of it and while it was doing this i was watching the temperature gauge drop to about half way for a few minutes the go bad to hot again .

That is if you can stop it after the engine is warmed up, because when cold it should freewheel a little.
When the engine is warmed up the cooling fan clutch should be nearly impossible to hold. If you can hold it then the fan clutch needs to be replaced, but I would still install a new thermostat either way if you replace the fan clutch or not.
