1992 Cadillac Fleetwood will not start

this car has all ways started. i put a new battery in it an it will not start, it will turn over. if i put gas in the carb it will start up, but die once the gas runs out???? also the trunk will not tighten down. i cked all the fuses in the car an under the hood, is it possible there is a fuse for the gas pump somewere inline with the gas pump??? that it. hoping there is so i dont have to re place the gas pump. again the car allways started thank, bruce
