I have a 1996 chevy blazer 4x4 that runs rough periodically. It does not consistantly run rough, but at times it will run rough and the rpm's will drop. The check engine light was illuminated so I ran a diagnostic check on it and it came back with OBDII codes of P0340- Camshaft Position Sensor Circut malfunction and P0700- transmission Control System malfunction.
I recently changed all plugs, wires, and fuel filter before running the diagnostic check. What would you suggest to do next? How hard is it to change the camshaft positioning sensor? Is it located in the distributor? All advice would be helpfull.

YES THE CAM SENSOR IS IN THE DISTRIBUTOR. YOUR TRANSMISSION CODE COULD BE CAUSED BY VARIOUS THINGS. DOES IT SHIFT OK? THINGS IT COULD BE, IGNITION SWITCH, TRANSMISSION SOLENOID, OR PRESSURE SENSOR BOARD ON BOTTOM OF VALVE BODY. HOPE THIS HELPS. FEEDBACK AND VOTES ARE MUCH APPRECIATED.
