My 96 chev corsica 3.1 6 cyl needs a new belt tensioner. What is the best way to gain access to the mounting bolt? There is no room so something has to be removed. Thanks

Can anyone tell me exactly what steps to take to
lower the engine so I can get to the belt tensioner through the fender well. (yes, I'm still learning)

I raised the engine by lifting the oil pan with a jack and block of wood. removed 3 bolts in uppper engine mount. Lowered engine as far as It would go.
Its still about 2 inches or more short of allowing access to the tensioner bolt. What am I missing?

The best way that I have found is to lower the front of the engine down to gain accsess to the bolt. Make sure and use a piece of wood on top of the floor jack so you dont damage the oil pan..
