I need the location of the Onstar module for my 2004 2500HD Chevy. It is an extended cab, 2wd with Bose XM 6 disc integrated stereo. Captain's chairs with center console. The module behind the glove box appears to be the xm box
Thank you.

Behind the dashboard on the passenger side. You have to remove the upper part of the dash to access it and work between it and the firewall. It's the smaller module at the bottom. Sucks bigtime. What's the deal with the current VCIM?

OnStar is a joke. It's way too expensive compared to GPS, and current IPOD applications that way outperform OnStar. Did the GM dealer diagnose the VCIM? How much is the subscription for Blue?

It is a plug and play module that bluetooths to your phone and works through the stereo and steering wheel controls. You should check their site costartech.com. Do you know where I might find a diagram of the vcim removal?
