1984 Chevy Suburban new cap and rotor

1984 Chevy Suburban V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

put new cap and rotor in and it still missess, it also floods easily. Im @ 4800 ft elevation what can I do to get it right

Have you had the plugs and wires replaced too? Also, I believe the vehicle has a carb and is not fuel injected. Make sure the choke is opening properly.
