2001 2500 2wd 5.9L I6 Turbo Diesel 50k mi vs 2003 2500 4X4 5.7L V8 SMPI 50k mi,both quad cab.Tow a 3000 lb boat mostly with my 98 1500 5.9 MPI.No problems,just starting to rack up the miles,120k thanks for any input.( both trucks $20k)

I pulled my wakeboard boat for the last 2 summers and now I have a cracked block with 65000 miles, never overheated either. $6000 to repair.
