Does this vehicle have an EGR vacuum solenoid?

does the vehicle listed above w vin have an EGR vacuum solenoid and if so, where is the location? p1404 code came up i have replaced the EGR valve with a new one i disconnected battery still comes up. i unplugged the EGR valve erased code, turned off key plugged back in still same problem, so I was curious if there was secondary EGR vacuum solenoid. Pictured below is EGR vacuum solenoid AutoZone sold to me.

Hi,

I looked through two different professional manuals, and neither shows one for this vehicle. I checked VIN W and VIN X for the 4.3L and I even checked for a 2.2L 4-cylinder and nothing is listed.

Do you have the part number for what they sold you? If you do, could you let me know what it is?

Also, I attached a pic below. That is what you should have.

Duralast part #pv164. yes, the p1404 code appeared after I installed a new fuel pump with the new 4 pin flat connector came on after about 7 miles with new pump. The fuel pump is working perfectly, the gas gauge and all. Thank you for your response will be returning part.

Hi,

That's interesting. I'm not sure why the pump/connector would cause this. The code is specific to the EGR valve pintel not fully closing when commanded to do so.

Do me a favor. Take a look at the pics below. They are the diagnostics specific to the code you have. Also, pic 1 is the wiring schematic. Let me know if you are comfortable performing the tests.

Will try those test when have time. I hear hissing on my driver's side, will a bad EGR tube throw a p1404?

Hi,

The sound would come from the tube if it has a leak, but I don't feel it would set this code. The code indicates the EGR valve is remaining partially open when it is commanded closed.
