Any engine conversion will not be cheap and you also have to take into consideration local laws the may cover such conversions, i can't say how much it will cost or what problems you will face but i can say do your home work first because you can spend a lot of money and get nowhere fast doing this type of job if you are not prepared.

Ok good luck if you go ahead with a project just do all the research first check conversion forums for you make and model they often have good advice as they have been there already and know the pit falls

Smog will be the issue as it needs to pass the yr of the car or engine which ever is newest.
