Last year, we replaced the battery on our 2000 Expedition because the mileage light kept going out and finally it began to have trouble starting. This month, the engine started acting funny and had trouble accelerating and going uphill. I had the spark plugs replaced and it seems to run smooth, but now the service engine soon light and the battery light are on all the time, and when I drive at higher speeds the truck seems to vibrate. Could this be related to the spark plugs I just replaced, or perhaps the battery, the engine, or all the above?

First thing you need to do is have the codes read, Autozone does it free, Post the results with the code number(s). Even if the service engine light is not on, there should be freeze frame data stored.
If it won't make it to Autozone, buy a cheap scanner, they can be had for 30-40 dollars, a good investment, since they cover all cars sold in the USA from 96 on...
If the light is blinking, it means possible damage to the converter...service it right away!
