1995 Ford Explorer blows compression thru intake

It sounds like you have a valve that isn't seating or is bent. I was thinking headgasket, but they are on different banks. Before replacing the parts, was it running with good compression? Are you sure you didn't over tighten the rockers?

no it didnt run good had bad rocker arms they were pited out on the valve side also has new head gaskets on it just had a miss to it lifter tick rocker arms torque down so cant b over titend

If you are getting compression through the intake, I would have to say either you have two bent valves (intake valves) on those cylenders, or they are burnt and leaking.

Have you tried a "wet" compression test to see if the low compression is caused by worn rings? That wouldn't explaine the compression coming through the intake, but may be part of the problem causing the low compression.

ill try it but it still dont make sense why it aint building compresion on frist four cly

still nada no cracks in heads no burnt valves no bent vavles guides aint wore out would puttin 95 heads on a 94 block have anything to do with it if so why did it crank and run for a week nothings broke its in time the s**t dont make no sense done this stuff for 15 years now and aint never had no problem like this its mind blowing the joys of mechcanic work

There has to be a leak then. I'm with you, it doesn't make sense.

I looked up part numbers on the 94 and 95 cylender heads, and they are different. The 95 heads are over 1100.00 where as the 94 are around 400.00. I think that is where the problem is. The part numbers are totally different, and you can see by the cost, there is a big difference. NOTE: The cost I listed is from Mitchelonline and reflect the retail cost for OEM parts.

If I had to guess, I would say the heads are the problem.
