I'm sitting here trying to figure out how the two are related. Do you ever hear a knock or ticking from the engine when the pressure drops? As far as the brakes, do the lock up when you touch them easily?

it all happened one day when i was comming home the oil pressure droped and i started smelling the brakes a few minutes later i had to pull of the road after it cooled down everything was fine i made it home but it started all over again as soon as the engin started getting hot again so i started with the obviouse things first i did a full tuneup changed the oil and oil pump and the brakes took it out the next day same thing so i tried the master cylendar and the power booster same thing so then i replaced both callipers/ hoses same thing happened then i totally disconected the abs thinking there might be a problem in the control unit with the dump valve and isolation valve still nothing then i noticed after working on it one night the cats were glowing so i replaced cats nothing is working ive been working on cars for 20 years and i do everything thats suposed to be done like bench bleeding the master cylendar making sure the rod for the power boster is correct bled the whole brake system from back to front 3 times no water or metal shaveings in the oil or stuck to the oil plug theres no knocking from the bottom end of the motor as if i would have a worn or sliped main bearing and like i mentioned in my firs letter my work truck did the same exact thing i even called my wife out to look at it because i thought i was loosing my mind with that truck doing the same exact thing and after it came out of the shop it works fine and i know my boss knows that they didnt do anything major to the engine although he couldent find the repair slip so he could tell me what they did so at this point im still lost as to what is going on with it

When the brakes are actually locked up this will cause the engine oil pressure to drop due to severe engine speed reduction. There's something else that causing the problem here other than oil pressure

I would like to be informed if this problem is resolved something new in all the 40yrs in this business. Get in touch-You got me scratching all over and I ain't got that much to pull from the top side-

Sorry not that much of a help-Its okay if its a GM product that relates to power steering pump pressure-
