I was wanting to do an induction service on my 2004 4.6 ford f-150. i have been told 2 diffrent sides and wanted to see if you guys could help , i was going to manually open the big (main) induction butterfly and clean it with sensor safe cleaner ,if i open this by hand will it affect the "drive by wire " since i have no actaul throttle cable?will it affect the computer? will i have to buy the ford quoted $325 part ? or am i safe to do it once?

First off, Fords use teflon on thier throttles, a wet rag is all you need, anything else could damage the teflon coating, and cause corrosion!
