My 2000 Ford Mustang is receiving no electrical power. I have checked the battery and it is fully charged, power is going to the main distribution block. When I turn the key I get no power at all. No headlights, brake lights, dash lights, radio, etc... All the fuses are good. Any ideas where to start?

There might be a kill switch in the engine fuse box. At high RPM's the engine will shutoff to avoid mechanical damage. It is possible this circuit has a short. Make sure the circuitry in your ignition system is proper, everything up to the ignition coil. Try replacing the ignition control module on driverside fenderwell.

We tightened down the battery cables and that seemed to do the trick but it happened again. We are now looking into replacing the battery cables and swapping out some connectors.

We are in the dark about what is going on so any information will be appreciated.

It's very likely that you have an issue with the cables if the issue was resolved after tightening them. Especially if you have the aftermarket clamps installed on the ends. Here is a guide for battery cable issues, but don't hesitate to reach out if you still have issues.
