Noises problem

So my car recently had its catalitic converter replaced, and two weeks later started making the same loud noice...the kind that people pay to get with the large exhaust pipes? so my dad checked and said their was a small hole in the exhaust pipe and not to worry about it. Pulling into work today, there was a loud pop/bang sound, and suddenly my car was much louder in the noise. I looked under the car, but nothing had fallen or seemed to be missing. Is it the converter again? the exhaust pipe? something else?
