I am changing on the ebcm (ABS Control Module) Not the Bottom

I am changing the ABS Control module only not the part that has the tubes. The question I have is. I know I have to use a scantool to tell the Module the tire size. What would happen if I change the part and wait a few days before I tell it the Tire size. Will brakes still work.
