Noises problem

I actually have two questions: I'm hearing a low whoom whoom whoom noise coming from the front left tire, as I increase speed it goes faster then when i get to 20mph it's going so fast that I don't here it anymore I was thinking it could be brakes or the cv halfshaft But I have no clue about cars. Second When idling im hearing a chattering or ticking noise coming from the engine compartment also when I increase speed it gets louder and when going faster it also goes away.
