my clutch pedal goes down to the floor and returns very very slow. it is a mechanical clutch. the car still engages and everything meaning it still goes, but the pedal take s for ever to return. i really dont know if it is the cable or that peice that comes out of the transmission the return or watever please help me clueless.

I don't see a spring, check difference in height between diaphram spring fingers, adjust fingers if height differential exceeds specifications.

So it would seem the diaphram fingers provide the "spring". However, as Rasmataz pointed out, the cable itself could be binding. I would disconnect cable from clutch pedal, check clutch pedal for free movement at pivot, if OK, then replace the cable. If problem persists, you will have to adjust fingers, or replace diaphram.
