1993 Nissan Sentra Steering is Hard and humming noises

i suspect my car has a Cv joint problem, although i am not sure.
when i start my car and turn the wheel, when stationary, its very hard to turn it, and causes problems sometimes when getting out of parking spots. but when its running my steering has no problem.
there is also a humming noise at certain speed when i accelerate.
does anyone know what my problem is? thank you

Hi there,

I would be checking the power steering fluid, you may have a leak and the pump will hum and the steering will be heavy if the oil level is to low, start here.

i check the power steering fluid, and its fine. no problem there

Hi there,

If the fluid is ok, check the drive belt otherwise you may have a faulty pump.
