No turn signals and hazard lights not working

Hi,

I attached a copy of the wiring schematic for this vehicle. (if it is a hybrid, it will be different).

Confirm there is power in and out of the fuse If here is, go to the flasher and confirm there is power to the red wire. (see pic 1)

Also, let me know if anything happens when you turn either the signals or hazard lights on. For example, does the inside light turn on indicating power? Do the signals turn on but not flash? Anything you can think of that may help me.

Let me know what you find.

Hey, I just checked the car but the red wire at the flasher does not have any power. only the yellow wire has power when I switch the ignition on. Nothing happens when I turn the hazard light nor signal lights. No interior lights, no clicking, no flashing.

Did you check the fuse that powers the red wire? Also, does the fuse have power?

Yes, there is 12volts on both sides of the hazard fuse .

Okay, if there is no power making it to the relay, then the wire has to be damaged at some point. If the car was with me, I would check to see if there is continuity in the wire (battery disconnected).

Is that something you feel comfortable doing?

What you need to do is first, disconnect the battery. Next, use a multi meter set to Ohms to check resistance between the power supply from the fuse all the way to the flasher, where you checked and found no power.

Do this and let me know the results. Note, when doing this, move the wire around to see if there is a break or loose connection at some point. If there is, you should see the resistance changing.
