2006 Pontiac Montana Sliding Door will not lock or unlock

I have a 2006 Pontiac SV6. I noticed that the manual sliding door will not lock and unlock with the keyless remote or using the unlock switch on the driver's door. Any ideas? Thanks.

i have a 2001 montana with the same problem. . . the contacts from the body to the door get dirty/coroded and don't make a good conection when the door is closed. a little steel wool to clean them up worked fine for me. did it about 3 years ago, been fine since
