so i've liked this car for a while you know had fun times with it as a kid but never really looked under the hood so when i did i see this hose conection by the radiator that comes in right behind the grill something for the air to come into to get to the engine witch runs a little on the hot side it is gone this car
has a chevy big block 350 in it and needs all the air it can get so the question is what is this hose connection for and what do i need to hook it up and get more air to my engine also what is tis piece called

it sounds like it's ahose for the air cleaner to pick up outside air for the engine. At this age of a vehicle it won't make much difference if it's there or not.
