1995 Pontiac Transport 6 cyl 84000 miles
Removing the lift gate interior panel. Does not have separate speaker covers as directed by Mitchell's page; it's all 1. Problem is lift gate handle. Ea side connected with 'bolts'? and there's an INSERT ? were beneath is the 'nut'? on each side is holding the ift gate handle on.
Where lgHandle is attached, The frames are metal (or silver colored plastic) I've scratched it up a little bit and it seems to be metal and this part is either leather covered plastic or vinyl? or something.
I'm told to use Garnish Clip Remover (J24595-C). Don't know what it looks like nor what it is/how to use it? I presume it wedges beneath this cover insert, since I don't have one I've tried a razor blade thickness tool, small knife; small screwdriver.
Since I can't even see/feel where it's clipped I've just scratched it a bit without progress.
