Noises problem
1998 Saturn Station Wagon

A few months ago my car, the one mentioned above, began to have problems with its ventilation system. First, there are 4 vents on the dashboard of my car, one on either end and two together in the middle (one made to directed toward the passenger's side and one for the driver). The drivers side has clogged and only gives out a small amount of air, however, all the others work without a problem. And also, at the same time as this, an odd clicking noise began to occur whenever I turn on the ventilation, regardless of whether it is set on A/C or heating at any setting. This leads me to believe it is a problem with the fan(s).

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What most likely happened on the drivers side vent only giving out a small amount of air is the tube to the vent came out of place. All you would have to do is to take out the two 7mm screw's that hold the vent assembly on then it unsnap the vent assembly. Then you will be able to see what i'm talking about i have seen several cars do that.As far as the clicking goes are you talking about the blower fan motor clicking?

It sounds like it is coming from directly behind the glovebox, so I really don't know if its the fan motor or not

Well you have two thing's it could be the recirculation door is broken causing the recirculation actuator to click or it's your blower motor.Under your glove box you will find the blower motor it has three screw's holding it in place take them out and see if you can see any reason why it's clicking.

Would you happen to know what size wrench I would need? I tried the 3/16ths and the 1/4th and they're either to small of too big.
