2003 Subaru Baja overfilled with several extra quarts of oi

I filled the engine with several extra quarts of oil. I thought I drained the oil but instead the transmission fluid. I started the truck up and now the engine sounds lke it wants to stall. How can I fix this myself

Have you drained off the excessive oil and re checked the transmission yet?

yes, I drained the oil and have the right amount as well as the right amount in the transmission
