I have a 2002 toyota camry that I just got 3 days ago...I was driving today and the oil light with the little oil drip came on and started flickering and then stayed on. all of the gauges in my car were fine. i pulled the car over and checked the oil and it was fine. I then replaced a sensor on the side of the engine that has to do with pressure. That didn't help. Can anyone please tell me what might be going on with my car and what I may have to do to get it fixed

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and/or engine bearing.

iT COULD BE ? PLUGGED OIL PASsAGES . PLUGGED WITH SLUDGE THAT FAMOUS tOYOTA BY PRODUCT OF COMBUSTION.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW OFTEN THE OIL WAS CHANGED ? AND UNDER WHAT DRIVING CONDITIONS ? CITY DRIVING BEING THE MOST SEVERE SERVICE.

THE PREVIOUS POSTER SUGGESTED AN OIL PRESSURE CHECK WHICH SHOULD BE DONE FIRST AND IF ITS OK ? THEN REPLACE THE SENDING UNIT.HOPE THIS HELPS ?

At 85,000 miles the car is just broken in and shouldnt be giving you any problems like that ? unless the odometer had been rolled back ?
