I have a 1994 Toyota Corolla we purchased a few weeks ago. Occassionally while I'm driving it seems to loose speed and will not go over 25mph. When this happens the brake pedal seems very stiff and if i take my foot off the gas the car will loose speed very fast and stop. It will stay like this for a bit, then goes back to normal. Any ideas?

Raise car put on stands and inspect front and rear brakes for any binding.
Also check fluid level in differential. Hook up power brake booster to vacuum and make sure it will hold vacuum, if not booster is bad, or a leak to either rubber hose or steel piping to it.
