I broke screws of thermostat housing, how to replace

Hi I own a toyota corolla 1995 automatic with 155000 miles on and prtty good shape, a week ago starting overheating and they recommended me to flush radiator and change hoses, I did but wanted to go farther and replaced thermostat, the problem was when i put thermostat back, I am a guy who is somehow strong and I overtighten the screws wher the thermostat seats and now i have to replace that part, I am not mechanic so i dont knwo what the part is called, I went to some shops around teh area, they dont have it or dont know the name of it.any help will be appreciated

See if any of the parts houses have a picture you can look at, they should have something. If not the Dealer will for sure, at least you could find out what it is called

The thermostat housing is part of a larger housing that bolts to the head. You would drain the coolant remove the hoses/electrical connectors and unbolt the assembly from the head.
Then you could use a helicoil repair for the thermostat housing or get the entire assembly from a junk yard.
Buy a Haynes manual if you want to work on the car yourself.
