I've checked the fuses went to a junk yard and have tried 2 different radios plus 2 CDM'S and none of the 3 radio's and CDM'S will work. This radio will not turn on. I checked the antenna wire to make sure there was no water in the connection and none was there.Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

Hi,

First, in addition to checking the fuse, confirm there is power to it. See pic 1 for radio fuse. Pic 4 shows fuse location in vehicle. Here is a link to help with testing:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

If the fuse is good and power is available, check the yellow wire in the connection to the rear of the radio for ignition power. See pic 2.

If there is power, then check the ground for the radio. See pic 3

It has another electronic part that's under the dash board called the control data module that feeds to the radio plus the antenna connects to this part.

Hi,

Are you referring to the control head when you say control data module? See attached pic. Also, when you turn it on, does it turn on and there is no sound?

Hi,

I did watch the video. According to the speaker, if the radio won't power up, then it's a problem with the CDM. I realize you have replaced things already. Are they new parts? If used, did they work together in the prior vehicle? Have you confirmed power to the radio from the CDM? I know you checked the radio fuse, but is the courtesy fuse good as well and showing power?

That what I suspect may be wrong. I'm not sure if the place you are getting the parts will return your money if they don't work, but you should return them and see if you can find a used on that is known good and comes with some kind of a warranty. If you think about it, this style hasn't been used for some time, so they may have been in the salvage yard for some time. In some cases, they can be exposed to the elements.

I wish I had a certain answer for you.
